Eternal Kiss of Darkness Cover Revealed!

Night Huntress World, book two.
Releasing July 27th, 2010

An immortal war has been brewing in the darkness…
and now one woman has stumbled into the shadows.

Chicago private investigator Kira Graceling should have just kept on walking. But her sense of duty refused to let her ignore the moans of pain coming from inside a warehouse just before dawn. Suddenly she finds herself in a world she’s only imagined in her worst nightmares.

At the center is Mencheres, a breathtaking Master Vampire who thought he’d seen it all. Then Kira appears—this fearless, beautiful…human who braved death to rescue him. Though he burns for her, keeping Kira in his world means risking her life, yet sending her away is unthinkable.

But with danger closing in, Mencheres must choose between the woman he craves, or embracing the darkest magic to defeat an enemy bent on his eternal destruction.

How do authors do it!? Keep writing so many stories while trying to make it as original as possible? It's mighty hard... I imagine.

Anyways, the girl in the cover is so, pretty isn't she? The guy looks weird... And the colors of the cover... I don't know. It's weird looking. Not a disaster, but weird looking. I imagine you have to keep looking at it to really appreciate the weirdness of it all. Anyways I can't wait for it! I love Jeaniene Frost's stories so much.

  1. I absolutely love Jeaniene Frost's novels, and cannot WAIT for this one, even though I've never been a fan of Mencheres :o

I kind of always imagined him to be wrinkly and musty, with stringy hair, lol ... I don't know why, probably because he's ooooold ... or Egyptian (I think my brain got stuck on "mummy" the minute I read that) ...the cover's quite an improvement on my imagination, I must say! Mencheres is looking teh smexi :D

LoL, now that I've been staring at it for a while, Mencheres is starting to resemble (a MUCH younger :o) John Travolta. *runs screaming* Bad Thought. I think it's the guy's eyes, I don't know. Hmmm.

I think the colours are quite pretty together, the pink and blue, it's lovely. Okay, really, I'm going to stop staring at this now, lol, I keep thinking of more to say. *goes to do something USEFUL*

P.S. everyone has different tastes, hehe ... I didn't hate Hourglass as such, what happened just left me Frustrated Panda. BBBUT I do think there's a lot of people who will love it! I think it's one of those books that you either LOVE (because you think that the way it goes totally unexpected is awesome) or DISLIKE (because you think NOOOO!). Okay, really, *gone* ... I'm writing an entire freaking essay here.

  4. I haven't read about this series. I'll have to keep a look out for it. And you're right, the guy looks weird. Not the kind of picture of a guy I would imagine on a book. But I guess the whole don't judge a book by it's cover should qualify for this one.

Anyways, I mentioned you on my blog for a 6 degrees of blogging separation post.

    HAPPY readings!

  6. So far I have only read one Jeaniene Frost book (Halfway to the Grave) but I absolutely LOVED IT! I would read everything she writes if I had the chance but sadly my local library isn't very well stocked and I'm very much broke. The only reason I got to read Halfway to the Grave was because I was on vacation in Louisiana (visit family there several times a year) and the library there had a copy of it. Yeah I have library cards for a lot of different places( Iowa louisiana, tulsa oklahoma, sapulpa oklahoma, woodward oklahoma,...)

  9. I haven't read any of her books, I don't think. I kind of like the cover, but I'm not sure about the books. =/

And about the whole author thing, I have no clue. T_T I'm a writer and it is so annoying trying to write on a subject I love when there is so much out there. =/ But I think I have the right story right now. Been excited for it.

  10. The cover is sexy, but kinda scary. I don't think I realize how scary vamps really are. Stephenie Meyer has corrupted me! :D
