******Super NEW Covers Alert****** Tempestuous; Plague; Afterlife; Night Star; Out for Blood; Last Sacrifice; Angel...

I Spent a freaking lot of time in this post lol Check it out.

These covers are entirely series related; of series we love, hate, love to hate, or hate to love.

This post is also called Books to Come: Fall Edition (Part IV), if you wish to see the other ones:

(*Some of them are not final*)

Reading level: Young Adult
Hardcover: 320 pages
Publisher: HarperTeen
Publication Date: December 21, 2010

I can't find a summary!! But all I can say is that I like the cover since it follows the fashion of the last two covers. I love the title, but I think I like the cover of Darklight a bit better; I think it's the hair of the girl that throws me a bit off, also she is super white.

Reading level: Young Adult
Hardcover: 576 pages
Publisher: Katherine Tegen Books
Publication Date: April 5, 2011

After eight months after everyone over the age of fourteen disaapeared from the town of Perdidio Beach, California, the stakes are still rising. The kids in Perdido Beach are still starving. Yet despite the simmering unrest left behind by so many battles, power struggles, and angry divides, there is a momentary calm in Perdido Beach.

But enemies in the FAYZ don’t just fade away, and in the quiet, deadly things are stirring, mutating, and finding their way free. The Darkness has found its way into the mind of its Nemesis at last and is controlling it through a haze of delirium and confusion. A highly contagious, fatal illness spreads at an alarming rate as sinister, predatory insects terrorize Perdido Beach. And Sam, Astrid, Diana, and Caine are plagued by a growing doubt that they’ll escape—or even survive—life in the FAYZ. With so much turmoil surrounding them, what desperate choices will they make when it comes to saving themselves and those they love?

I don't like that they kept with the same covers as Hunger, but all the covers of this series is basically the same thing, a boy and a girl on the front looking sort of bad-ass. I haven't even read Hunger, was it good?

Reading level: Young Adult
Hardcover: 368 pages
Publisher: HarperTeen
Publication Date: March 8, 2011

The fourth book in this electrifying vampire series has all the romance, suspense, and page-turning drama that have made Claudia Gray’s Evernight books runaway successes.

Having become what they feared most, Bianca and Lucas face a terrifying new reality. They must return to Evernight Academy, Lucas as a vampire and Bianca as a wraith. But Lucas is haunted by demons, both personal and supernatural. Bianca must help him fight the evil inside him, combat the forces determined to drive them apart—and find the power to claim her destiny at last.

Readers have fallen in love with Bianca and Lucas, and they will be thrilled to read this exciting conclusion to their romantic adventure.

I like the cover more than the others. My favorite by far! Second would have to be Hourglass, the previous cover. Wow, the last book already... Fourth and last book in the Evermore series.

Reading level: Young Adult
Hardcover: 384 pages
Publisher: St. Martin's Griffin
Publication Date: November 16, 2010

In this installment, Ever and Damen face down bitter rivals, jealous friends and their own worst fears—all in the hope of being together forever. Night Star is guaranteed to mesmerize fans and leave them breathlessly awaiting the sixth and final book!

Isn't the pose of the model kind of awkward? The cover seems so fake; specially the hand. But, besides the cover, I like the other elements of the cover.

Reading level: Young Adult
Hardcover: 304 pages
Publisher: Walker Books for Young Readers
Publication Date: December 21, 2010

Hunter Wild just wants to get through her last year at the secret Helios-Ra Academy. To do so, she'll have to betray her grandfather, date a vampire and possibly take down the entire League - all before the end of term.

This is the UK cover. It's cool looking, but Ive been liking the US covers better for this series so I guess I'll have to wait for a verdict.

Reading level: Young Adult
Hardcover: 496 pages
Publisher: Razorbill
Publication Date: December 7, 2010

And the ultimate sacrifice.

Now, with Rose on trial for her life and Lissa first in line for the Royal Throne, nothing will ever be the same between them.

LOOVE THE COVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So freaking sad this is the ending though... WHYYYY!!!!???

Reading level: Young Adult
Hardcover: 512 pages
Publisher: HarperTeen
Publication Date: March 15, 2011

In Midnight, golden girl Elena Gilbert is back from the Dark Dimension, but has she managed to save her vampire boyfriend Stefan Salvatore from imprisonment? And will there be consequences to the trio travelling there?

Elena, Stefan and Damon are left reeling after a hugely unexpected event, but they must focus on the task at hand: Dealing with the demons that have taken over Elena's hometown, Fell's Church. Can the trio find a happy ending? Midnight takes Elena, Stefan and Damon to their darkest moments yet...

I do not know where this series has been and gone to, but I do plan to find out. The cover isn't remarkable, but it holds true to the fashion of the series.

Reading level: Young Adult
Hardcover: 272 pages
Publisher: Little, Brown Books for Young Readers
Publication Date: February 14, 2011

In the seventh book in the bestselling series, evil scientists are still trying to convince Max that she needs to save the world, this time by providing the genetic link in speeding up the pace of evolution. Worse, they're trying to convince her that her perfect mate is Dylan, the newest addition to the flock. The problem is that, despite herself, Max is starting to believe it.

Fang travels the country collecting his own gang of evolved humans, but the two separate flocks must unite to defeat a frightening doomsday cult whose motto is Save the Planet: Kill the Humans. And this time, the true heroine, for once, might just be little Angel.

I hadn't notice the little girl in the cover til now O.O The cover is okay, but how many books will there be in this series?

SO MANY NEW BOOKS!!!!!!!!! Don't you just love it?!

  1. The first few covers aren't final, though. Melissa Marr actually said she doesn't want her cover up yet because it's not done. They ARE pretty though.

  2. I HATE The Angel cover. Max just looks SO wrong.

  3. I hadn't heard about the new Maximum Ride book until now. I might have seen it on Shelfari and mistaken it as a new cover for The Angel Experiment. It sounds pretty good, the cover's okay, nothing too great. I had a feeling the next book would be named after Angel (oh, I hate her sooo much! I wonder if she'll die in this book... >:D).

  4. I cannot wait until Last Sacrifice! Why didn't I wait to read that series until December...

Thanks for putting this post together! I can't get over how beautiful some of the covers are!

  5. I had heard talk that LJ Smith was going to write another trilogy...something about Stefan's Diaries, or some such. So while Midnight may be the end of series in timeline, it may not be the end of the Vampire Diaries as a whole.

  6. RE: DARKEST MERCY... This is NOT the final cover. It was leaked prematurely.

  7. Wow - great work Taschima! First time I have seen the cover of Darest Mercy!

  8. I am such a sucker for great covers! Thanks for all the hard work :D I really enjoyed this post!

  9. This is an amazing post! THANK YOU SO MUCH!

  10. I know you included the covers are not final, but Melissa really doesn't want the Darkest Mercy cover up before it is final.

  11. !!!!! another new book for the vampire diaries?!
