Ive been MIA for a while, but I'm coming back. Now that college stuff is resolved, I have more free time.
So, why not start this with a bang? Let's talk about some books aimed for this fall! I can't put them all in ONE post because, well, there's too many, but I will make various posts about them all.
Let's start with at least 7 shall we?

Book Description:
This wasn't the way it was supposed to go.
You're just a typical fifteen-year-old sophomore, an average guy named Kyle Chase. This can't be happening to you. But then, how do you explain all the blood? How do you explain how you got here in the first place?
There had to have been signs, had to have been some clues it was coming. Did you miss them, or ignore them? Maybe if you can figure out where it all went wrong, you can still make it right. Or is it already too late? Think fast, Kyle. Time's running out. How did this happen?
You is the riveting story of fifteen-year-old Kyle and the small choices he does and doesn't make that lead to his own destruction.
In his stunning young-adult debut, Charles Benoit mixes riveting tension with an insightful—and unsettling—portrait of an ordinary teen in a tale that is taut, powerful, and shattering.

Book Description:
Nine of us came here. We look like you. We talk like you. We live among you. But we are not you. We can do things you dream of doing. We have powers you dream of having. We are stronger and faster than anything you have ever seen. We are the superheroes you worship in movies and comic books—but we are real.
Our plan was to grow, and train, and become strong, and become one, and fight them. But they found us and started hunting us first. Now all of us are running. Spending our lives in shadows, in places where no one would look, blending in. we have lived among you without you knowing.
But they know.
They caught Number One in Malaysia.
Number Two in England.
And Number Three in Kenya.
They killed them all.
I am Number Four.
I am next.

Book Description:
Bright Young Things is the first in an epic four-book series about three teenage girls finding their way in the glittering metropolis of New York City and the glamorous mansions of Long Island. It’s 1929 and Letty Larkspur and Cordelia Grey have escaped their small Midwestern town to chase big dreams and even bigger secrets. In New York, they meet Astrid Donal, a flapper who has everything she could ever want, except for the one thing Letty and Cordelia have to offer—true friendship. Set in the dizzying summer before the market crash, against the vast lawns of the East End and on the blindingly lit stages of Broadway, the three girls will find romance, intrigue, and adventure.
Just as The Luxe books brought the Gilded Age to readers of Gossip Girl, Bright Young Things will bring the Jazz Age to bestselling author Anna Godbersen’s devoted fans and to new readers alike.

I'm so jealousy of The Ivy. I got the signing late and she had just out of books. I could have gotten an ecopy, but I completely forgot.
ReplyDeleteGreat list - I hadn't heard of some of these before. I think I'd put I am #4 on the top of my list
ReplyDeleteAren't you excited for the new Narnia movie? I know I am! Great list of books you have here.
ReplyDeleteMmm...Ben Barnes haha. I really enjoy the Narnia movies. Thanks for posting the trailer, I had not yet seen it. :)

Lots of great things still to come this year. Great choices for today's post.
ReplyDeleteI love Narnia :D
I can't wait to read Paranormalcy and Firelight. The new Narnia movie looks good to!
ReplyDeleteI had never heard of I Am Number 4 and think I might put it at the top of this list! Thanks for sharing these!
ReplyDeleteIs there not more of a blurb than the one line for The Ivy? I have looked elsewhere on-line and have been unable to find any other info on the book than what you had here. How can we decide if this is something we'd be interested in with only one line?

Hi guys, Lauren Kunze here, author of The Ivy! Harperteen tweeted at me about this post, and I'm here to satisfy your curiosity with blurbs! The series website will be live soon, so more information to come, but for now:
ReplyDeleteFrom the ebook:
"Freshman year at Harvard--glamorous parties, blossoming friendships, steamy romances, and scandalous secrets. Skip the campus tour and get right to the good stuff: classes are for scoping guys (and their Facebook profiles), not taking notes. The library is for study dates (the medieval history stacks get a lot of action), not studying. And success is a 4.0 GPA... plus getting into the most exclusive parties. How will Callie--a California girl with brains, beauty, and big dreams--and her three roommates survive?
Get admitted to The Ivy, the first book in a provocative new series about the world of the Ivy League."
And, from the hardback book flap:
"CALLIE ANDREWS may not have money or connections or the right clothes, and she may have way too many complications in her love life, what with--
GREGORY
the guy she loves to hate
EVAN
the guy she'd love to forget
CLINT
the guy she'd love to love
and MATT
the guy she really should love
--all vying for her attention.
But she has three fantastic roommates (best friends or her worst nightmare?) and a wholesome California-girl reputation (oops) and brains and beauty and big, big dreams.
Will it be enough to survive freshman year at Harvard?"
Thank you so much to everyone who is excited for The Ivy! For more news and updates feel free to follow me on twitter:

That's enough procrastination for now... have to get back to work on editing the sequel!
Great books!
