Last year I did the end of the year contest, and so I decided to go at it again! This is becoming a tradition here at Bloody Bookaholic, holding end of the year contests. I will most likely also do it next year, and it always involves big wins. I have 40 books o give away, anybody want to give them a home?
Saying Good Bye To 2011
They are all up for grabs! Who wants them!!??
I was thinking of doing 3 winners, winner number 1 will get 20 books, winner number 2 will get 15 books, and winner number 3 will get 5 books. Not too shabby I may say. The winner will be chosen by Randomizer, the more points you get though the more entries you get, and the more possibility you have to be the winner!

ReplyDeleteAs far as the best book of 2011 goes, for me it'd probably have to be 'Divergent'. I wasn't very big into dystopian novels, even after reading the Hunger Games but Divergent changed that for me. It was a breathe of fresh air.
So by extension, of course Insurgent is one of the books I'm most looking forward to. I'm also looking forward to the newest installments of The Mortal Instruments & The Infernal Devices in the coming year as well.

ReplyDeleteOne book I fell in love with this year was Anna and the French kiss I know it came out in 2010, but it was just sooo good. Lola and the Boy Next Door was not as good as the authors debut, but it was still an enjoyable 2011 book.
Book I'm excited to read this new year? Cinder. I bought it already, I was soooo excited to see it on the new books chart, I just grabbed it and ran and scared probably the whole library staff......

ReplyDeleteThe best book I read last year was The Painted Man by Peter V. Brett but it wasn't published last year. That was me going back to the high fantasy roots I was brought up on (no idea why I don't read more of the genre when I love it so much - probably because it's so draining.)
ReplyDeleteOf the books published last year, though, I simply adored The Restorer by Amanda Stevens and Amy Kathleen Ryan's Glow!
This year I'm looking forward to so many books that it'd take far too long to list them all! ;) Bring on 2012!!!

ReplyDeleteMy favorite book of 2011 was Unlovable, by Sherry Gammon, and my most anticipated book of 2012 is her sequel to that, named Unbelievable. Everything about it just blew me away - the cover, the book, the message it delivered, the emotions it evoked...just WOW!
