Extremely HOT Cover Reveal: Requiem (Delirium #3) by Lauren Oliver!!

Goodreads

HOLY CRAP! There is a cover, there's a cover, there's a cover!!!

I looove the photo quality, and the color, and the flowers, and EVERYTHING!! I'm just a fan that is full of love for this beautiful cover of one of my favorite series EVER.

Let's look at all 3 (new) covers together:

Delirium (Delirium, #1) Pandemonium (Delirium, #2)

In order of most awesome to just plain awesome:

1. Pandemonium
2. Delirium
3. Requiem

True, Requiem's cover is in my opinion not the best off all three, I think it was the model's face position, I liked how the other two have only one eye showing, but it's still pretty darn great! I just loove those weird flowers in Pandemonium's cover, and the ones in Delirium as well.

Did you like Requiem's cover?! Are you as excited as me for this novel? March 2013 can't get here soon enough!

Sneak Peak of Days of Blood & Starlight (Daughter of Smoke and Bone #2) by Laini Taylor!!

"Akiva felt like he was choking on his own heart. He flew above the ruins, scanning for a flash of blue in the vastness of gray and black that was his sown monstrous victory, but there was nothing.
Karou wasn't there.
He searched all day ans the next, Loramendi and beyond, wondering furiously where she could have gone and trying not to let the question shift to what might have happened to her. But the possibilities grew darker as the hours passed, and his fears warped in nightmare ways that drew inspiration from every terrible thing he had ever seen and done. Images assaulted him. Again and again he pressed his palms to his eyes to blot them out. Not Karou. She had to be alive. Akiva simple couldn't face the thought of finding her any other way.
Which may be why he was so unprepared when... he did."
This is definitely one of my most awaited titles to come out this year, I really really want this book. While at BEA they didn't have the complete ARC (sadly, but they just didn't) instead they gave away samplers of Days of Blood & Starlight.  The sampler though it's unbelievable. It's only 76 pages, and it keeps you on the edge of your seat for its entirety.

Imagine the entire novel...

This is so good! Would you guys be interested in a giveaway for Daughters of Smoke & Bone + the Days of Blood & Starlight sampler? I'm all ears!

Cover Reveal: Through the Ever Night (Under The Never Sky #2) by Veronica Rossi

No summary yet. I actually haven't read Under the Never Sky, so I have no feelings when it comes to this cover. But it still looks pretty cool, not great, and not better than the first one, but the guy looks kind of hot. I liked the first one more...

Under the Never Sky (Under the Never Sky, #1)
Prettyy!
Is Under The Never Sky a book to read? Is it an awesome story? Did you love it? COnvince me to read it!

Hot Cover Reveal: Iron's Prophecy, an Iron Fey Novella, by Julie Kagawa

Goodreads
Also available part of The Iron Legends Sept 2012
Meghan Chase is finally getting used to being the Iron Queen, ruler of the Iron Fey. Her life may be strange, but with former Winter prince Ash by her side at last, she wouldn’t have it any other way.

But when they travel to the Summer and Winter courts’ gathering for Elysium, the oracle from Meghan’s past returns with a dire prophecy: “What you carry will either unite the courts, or it will destroy them.” Now Meghan faces a devastating choice that may determine the future of all fey—and her and Ash’s unborn child….
I am so glaaad about this title!! One more story with Meghan, and ASH!!!! Oh ASSH I miss you soo!! As for the cover itself, I like it, but it isn't the best out of all of them. What's with the serpent? Can't wait to find out!

Here is a note from the author:
Dear readers:
This is Meghan and Ash's last story, an e-novella that takes place after The Iron Knight and before The Lost Prince.  It will be available online (release date to-be-announced) and as part of The Iron Legends Anthology coming this fall.
One last adventure.
-Julie Kagawa

Oh Julie don't play with my heart. It can only take so much.

HOT Cover Reveal: The Indigo Spell (Bloodlines #3) by Richelle mead

Holy cooow! The cover is out already?! It's only June!! The Golden Lily was released just the other day!! Why am I complaining?! Let it out with the cover love!

Like this one way more than I liked The Golden Lily (the color is the culprit). I am curious to know who is that weird face dude on Sydney's left, and is that Adrian on the right? What? Is one of them Eddie?! I am so excited I am not even able to think straight.

Love it!

Catching Fire Viscous Rumors: Has Johanna (District 7) been Chosen?

Disregard the name on this photo.
Zoe Aggeliki
Description: Johanna Mason is the female victor of an unidentified Games from District 7. She also gets reaped for the third Quarter Quell. She was one of the youngest tributes in the Quarter Quell. She is the last living female victor of District 7, whose principal industry is lumber.
Physical Description: Johanna is described as having wide-set brown eyes. In Catching Fire, Johanna has spiky brown hair. In Mockingjay, she returns from the Capitol with a shaved head after being tortured by them but eventually grows pieces of her hair back, where the prespiration from her forehead made her hair form spikes. She is also very muscular and tan.
These are just rumors that I read over at Hollywood Crush, but if they were to carry any weight, what do you think about the actress that would be playing Johanna?
"IndieWire has an exclusive report that not only are Mia Wasikowska and Zoe Aggeliki in the nearly final running to play the steely heroine from District 7, but also teases the info that Zoe might be signing on officially in a matter of days."
-Hollywood Crush
By now, I don't know what to think really. I mean, Zoe is a beautiful girl, and Johanna wasn't described as being breathtaking but what are we to think after the last movie when nothing seemed to work and then magically they made everything work? I say that unless they plan to hire any more singers with no acting experience to take a major role, it seems to me it is wise to put our faith in the movie crews's hands and their casting personnel. Jennifer Lawrence rocked my world, maybe Zoe Aggeliki will manage to do that too!

Cover Reveal: Unravel Me (Shatter Me #2) by Taheref Mafi

Unravel Me (Shatter Me, #2)
Aaand... I don't love it. I mean the image itself is pretty cool and all, but I don't like that it doesn't go with the hardcover Shatter Me version.
Shatter Me (Shatter Me, #1)

This cover my friends is a beautiful cover, and I thought it fit well with the character and the series. It was breath taking anyways, but they decided to go with another cover for the paperback, which is this one:
Shatter Me (Shatter Me, #1)

Beautiful, true, but still I liked the first one more. Sure she is crying a river (which the main character doesn't do; she is not that girl), and her eye lashes are trees, all this is very good and all but why ruin a good thing? If they had showed me this one when Shatter Me came out I would have been on board because it's a freaking cool cover, but I already love the hardcover version plus...
You know what upsets me the most? Now my copy of Unravel Me isn't going to match my copy of Shatter Me. That just ain't right.

Sneak Peak #1: The Lost Prince, by Julie Kagawa

“Hi.”
Resigned, I turned and stared into the face of a girl.
She was shorter than the others, more perky and cute than graceful and beautiful. Her long, straight hair was inky black, though she had dyed a few strands around her face a brilliant sapphire. She wore sneakers and dark jeans, tight enough to hug her slender legs, but not looking as if she’d painted them on. Warm brown eyes peered down at me as she stood with her hands clasped in front of her, shifting from foot to foot, as if it was impossible for her to stay still.
“Sorry about the note,” she continued, as I shifted back to eye her warily. “I told Regan not to do it—Miss Singer has eyes like a hawk. We didn’t mean to get you in trouble.” She smiled, and it lit up the room. “I’m Kenzie. Well, Mackenzie is my full name, but everyone calls me Kenzie. Don’t call me Mac or I’ll slug you.”
Behind her, the rest of the girls gaped and whispered to each other, shooting us furtive glances. I felt like some kind of exhibit at the zoo. Resentment simmered. I was just a curiosity to them, the dangerous new kid, to be stared at and gossiped about.
“And…you are…?” Kenzie prompted.
I looked away. “Not interested.”
“Okay. Wow.” She sounded surprised but not angry, not yet. “That’s…not what I was expecting.”
“Get used to it.” Inwardly, I cringed at the sound of my own voice. I was being a dick; I was fully aware of that. I was also fully aware that I was murdering any hope for acceptance in this place. You didn’t talk this way to a cute, popular cheerleader without becoming a social pariah. She would go back to her friends, and they would gossip, and more rumours would spread, and I’d be shunned for the rest of the year.
Good, I thought, trying to convince myself. That’s what I want. No one gets hurt this way. Everyone can just leave me alone.
Except…the girl wasn’t leaving. From the corner of my eye, I saw her lean back and cross her arms, still with that lopsided grin on her face. “No need to be nasty,” she said, unconcerned with my aggressiveness. “I’m not asking for a date, tough guy, just your name.”
Why was she still talking to me? Wasn’t I making myself clear? I didn’t want to talk. I didn’t want to answer her questions. The longer I spoke to anyone, the greater the chance that They would notice, and then the nightmare would begin again. “It’s Ethan,” I muttered, still staring at the wall. I forced the next words out. “Now piss off.”
“Huh. Well, aren’t we hostile.” Though her words were sharp, she still seemed more amused than anything. I resisted the urge to glance at her, though I still felt that smile, directed at me. “I was just trying to be nice, seeing as it’s your first day and all. But, if you want to be a jackass…”
This came at the end of the hardcover copy of The Immortal Rules I got at BEA. ISN'T IT EXCITING!? Ethan Chase has turned a bit hostile and anti social- although it is on purpose. I wonder why does he have to alienate everybody... I mean Meghan did fine all on her own; just ignore them and them they will not know you can see them; Ethan needs to read Wicked Lovely, by Mellissa Marr, ASAP. Also shouldn't Ethan be under Meghan and Ash's protection (not to mention Puck's)? Just have Meghan be all like, mess with my brother and it'll be faerie war 2! Anyways, enjoy the sneak peak!

Which book sneak peak will you like for next week?

Cover Alert: Everbound (Everneath #2) by Brodi Ashton

Everbound (Everneath, #2)

"Two months ago, the Tunnels of the underworld came for Nikki Beckett. That night, Nikki's boyfriend, Jack, made the ultimate sacrifice. All Nikki wants is to save Jack before it's too late. All Cole wants is to find his queen - and he thinks Nikki is the one. Both determined, both desperate, Nikki and Cole form a tense alliance, leading them on a dangerous journey to The Heart of The Everneath."

Oh my gooosh! LOOK AT THAT COVER! The smoke, the smoky dress, the model showing us her back, and specially that font... I loved Everneath, such a good book (actually one of my favorites this year), and I cannot, CANNOT, wait for Everbound to hit the streets. Oh gosh I would give an arm and a leg for a chance to review this wonderful book.

In reply to the summary: HA! Like I didn't know that was going to happen. But still, I might have known that was going to happen but at the end of the day it's the journey of how it happens and what comes of it that counts. Have I already mentioned that I will sell body parts for this book? Wouldn't you?

Twilight Movie News: Breaking Dawn Part 2 Official Trailer

Finally, a full on trailer. Nice. I feel like I've already seen half of it due to all the "teaser" trailers that have come out. Most interesting part of the trailer? The ending... well, maybe the movie will give us a full on bloody battle to satisfy it's crowd after all. Kristen looks pretty awesome as a vampire, as do all of them. I wonder if she will be able to pull of the concern mother role...

Can't wait to see the whole family sparkle like a disco ball!

The Mortal Instruments Movie Casting News: Isabella Lightwood

Behold! This is the actress that shall play Isabella Lightwood!

Isabella's description:
Isabelle is described as gorgeous. She has long, ink black hair and dark brown eyes. She is said to greatly resemble her mother, so much that Jocelyn Fairchild-Morgenstern mistook her of her mother when they first met. She is quite tall, being taller than most boys, and very slim. Clary once stated that she never saw Isabelle in anything other then dresses. Despite her looks, Isabelle greatly envy's Clary. She wishes that she were small and petite, though she is happy with her looks, because it is a hassle for her to be taller then most boys. (wiki)
What Cassandra Clare has to say about it:
Jemima West. She’s beautiful (like whoa) and really talented. You can see her as Vittoria on The Borgias right now. She had a lot of Izzy’s toughness and directness in her audition. I like her.
What Taschima has to say about it:

Jemima is a funny name lol I don't wanna be a bad sport, but everytime I hear that name the picture I have in my head isn't of this beautiful actress, but in fact this is what comes to my head:

I know, stupid. But as far as her being able to play Isabella (Isabelle or Isabella?) I say maybe. Who knows, maybe she is a good actress. She will need contacts, and hopefully she has the attitude, cause Isabella is all about the attitude.

Review: The Golden Lily by Richelle Mead

Title: The Golden Lily
Author: Richelle Mead
Series: Bloodlines
Book #: 2
Pages: 418
Reading Level: YA
Book Rating: Photobucket
Goodreads Rating: 4.57
Published: June 12th, 2012

The second thrilling installment in Richelle Mead's Vampire Academy spinoff series

Tough, brainy alchemist Sydney Sage and doe-eyed Moroi princess Jill Dragomir are in hiding at a human boarding school in the sunny, glamorous world of Palm Springs, California. The students--children of the wealthy and powerful--carry on with their lives in blissful ignorance, while Sydney, Jill, Eddie, and Adrian must do everything in their power to keep their secret safe. But with forbidden romances, unexpected spirit bonds, and the threat of Strigoi moving ever closer, hiding the truth is harder than anyone thought.

Populated with new faces as well as familiar ones, Richelle Mead's breathtaking Bloodlines series explores all the friendship, romance, battles, and betrayals that made the #1 New York Times bestselling Vampire Academy series so addictive. In this second book, the drama is hotter, the romances are steamier, and the stakes are even higher.

Taschima's POV:

Debating between a 3 and a 4 star...

Let's say 3.7 let's round up and give it a four.

I am just going to flat out say it. I am not in love with Adrian Ivashkov. *Le Gasp* Personally I've always been firmly Team Dimitri, and not even Adrian with his haunting good looks and bad boy persona could sway me away from my home team... not even in this VA spin off. Dimitri is still in the picture, he is a regular character in Golden Lily, and it just feels wrong to fantasize about another man when mine is just right there. Still I can see why many women, girls, and men alike would fall for Adrian's charms, specially since in The Golden Lily he seems to grow and he seems more ready to confront his problems (familial and otherwise). Can he be growing up? I don't think he'll ever leave his bad boy charisma behind, but I think he is trying to make healthy changes.

Things I liked about The Golden Lily... The romance actually. Which is good since this is what mainly keeps the books interesting. The will they or wont they WHEN THE HELL ARE THEY FINALLY GOING TO GET DOWN TO IT (kissing I mean, very PG13). I liked any part of the book that involved Sydney and Adrian. They amuse me. I also liked the excitement and adventure... at the end of the novel at least. *scratches head* Half the novel was about Sydney, and relationships, and Sydney trying new things, and well not life changing stuff. We didn't get a real threat to anybody's life till waay into the reading (or a threat in general). I have a tiny problem with this since I felt like something was missing throughout. It felt... lacking.

But Sydney as a character keeps surprising me with every book that comes out. She keeps growing, and her beliefs keep being slapped in the face so hard that she has to back off and really think on everything she has been taught her whole life. To see her struggle through these problems in a sometimes sensible and coherent fashion is very entertaining. I like Sydney when she makes sense, not when she is all *Oh god the vamps are going to eat me!*. But she is a work in process and I cannot wait to see where her character goes to in the next chapter of the series. I give Sydney a thumbs up.

Not only Sydney really, but Eddie, Angeline, and Jill as well. More Jill than the rest, she is really maturing and it shows in this book. Eddie, well he pisses me off (so sweet and yet at the same time so oblivious). And Angeline... well she seemed to grow from one page to the next. Not sure what to make of that, but oh well who cares about Angeline really?

However as for the story itself I have to say I was kind of disappointed. I saw every little plot twist coming from a mile away. What was gonna happen, why it was going to happen, who was going to be involved... basically everything. And nothing exciting (by this I mean life threatening) and mysterious happened till well into the book! It kind of pissed me off. I have come to expect more from the VA series, even if this is just a spin off created for us hungry fans.

I liked the ending because it had a very serious confrontation between our love birds, Sydney and Adrian (I am actually impressed Sydney was able to keep her hands off Belikov, strong will, I couldn't have... well, more like I wouldn't have). I really liked it, and I liked how Adrian was strong and stood up not only for himself but for Sydney as well, even though it caught her completely off guard.

The ending wasn't a cliff hanger or anything, and to be completely honest, well, I am not that anxious to get the next installment in the series. I feel like I might just light up and read some other books, waiting patiently for The Indigo Spell to make its debut in its due time. I liked the book, I really did (it entertained me) it just isn't VA.

So I started reading The Golden Lily by Richelle Mead

"I was so surprised that I couldn't muster a response right away. When I did, I just blurted out the first thing that came to mind. "Of course I don't." He still wouldn't look at me, apparently not believing my words. "Adrian." I laid my hand over his and felt a warm spark of connection.

He jerked his head toward me in astonishment. "Nothing he said could change what I think of you. I've had my mind made up about you for a long time... and it's all good."

Adrian looked away from me and down to where my hand covered his. I blushed and pulled away. "Sorry" I'd probably freaked him out.

He glanced back at me. "Best thing that's happened to me all day. Let's hit the road."

Aww! As of right now my favorite parts of the book include anything that has to do with Sydney and Adrian + anything, at all, that has to do with Dimitri. SPOILER if you haven't read Bloodlines true, but Dimitri is in The Golden Lily!! Which makes the book just that much better.

"There has been a bit of a culture shock," I admitted, unsure as to why I was defending Angeline, "And those guys today... I mean, if they'd tried to get me to join their sing-along, I probably would've punched them too."

"Unacceptable," said Dimitri. He used to be a combat instructor, and I could understand why. "She's here on a mission. What she did was reckless and irresponsible."

Sonya gave him a sly smile. "And here I thought you had a soft spot for reckless young girls."

"Rose never would have done anything like that," he countered. He paused to reconsider, and I coul've sworn there was the hint of a smile there. "Well, at least not in such a public setting."

At least he knows his girl ;) I'm so sad we haven't seen any Rose or Lissa in this book, not even any news about what's going on on the other side. But I'll survive as long as the teasing and witty banter keeps coming.

Let's continue reading!

"The Lost" Hunger Games Hilarious Video Tapes; Why some Famous Stars where left out of the running.

So, I was browsing through MTV and I stumbled into these hilarious videos in which stars like Chris Colfer (Glee), Robin Thicke, Max Greenfield (New Girl), Chloe Moretz, and many many more try to audition for The Hunger Games.

Let's just say, they didn't make the cut. But the audition tapes are hilarious.

My favorites: Chris Colfer, Max Green Field, Chloe Moretz and Amber Rose.

No offense, but I would have hired them lol

PS; Don't forget to enter my latest giveaway for a total of 6 awesome books ;)

Bloodlines Book 3 has a title!

The Indigo Spell (Bloodlines, #3)

The title and first paragraph of the third Bloodlines novel called, The Indigo Spell, has been released! I am in the process of reading The Golden Lily right now, and I admit it started a little slow, but I am sure soon enough I will get into the pace of things. Now, for the paragraph *drumroll*:
This wasn’t the first time I’d been pulled out of bed for a crucial mission. It was, however, the first time I’d been subjected to such a personal line of questioning.
“Are you a virgin?”
Woah! Personal much? It makes me wonder who is asking the question, and most importantly why is the question being asked. Maybe something sexy occured in The Golden Lily? Something between our Sydney and oh so charming Adrian? Can't wait to find out!

Cover Alert: Soul Screamers Vol. 2 by Rachel Vincent

Features the full length novels of:
My Soul to Keep and My Soul to Steal
Also has the novella...
REAPER
Expected Publication Date: December 2012

I cannot wait for this one for various reasons.

One: The cover!!!! Holy shit I want that dress sooo bad!  It looks beautiful how the dress is just flowing through the cover, and how the Soul Screamers thing is smack in the middle and how the face of the model doesn't show completely... LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT.

Two: It has Tod's story... and I want it. I love me some Tod, and Nash always bothered me. I want to learn about Tod and how Tod became what he is.

Three: I am a freak. I like having every single thing that is related to a series I really like. And this is just something to add to my Soul Screamers collection. A very pretty interesting thing to add =D

I Cast The Immortal Rules

In a future world, vampires reign.
Humans are blood cattle.
And one girl will search for the key to save humanity.

Bloody Bookaholic Book rating:
 Photobucket

So here's the deal, I have been working on this dream cast since I basically reviewed the book back in March. Posts like these take time and lots of thinking, plus going through a bunch of pictures of yummy guys in order to pick just the perfect one. Yeah, such a hard task.

Let's start with...

Allison Sekemoto

Best Known For: Playing Anna in The Vampire Diaries

Description: Allison is described as a small, beautiful, exotic-looking Asian vampire with straight black hair, pale skin, and "squinty eyes". She is 5'0 in The Immortal Rules. (Wiki) This tough, sarcastic Fringer learned early how to survive: show no weakness, trust no one. Forced to choose between agonizing death and becoming what she despises, Allie's survival instinct still wins. Being a vampire isn't all bad (Heightened senses and incredible fighting strength? Awesome.), but this new, all-consuming hunger frightens even her.... (Main Page)

Why she would be perfect for playing Allison: How could Malese not be Allison? When I started reading the book, and got to the description of Allison I pictured Malese in my mind. She is exotic-looking Asian with straight hair and is small in height. SHE IS PERFECT. End of discussion really. Plus, heck of an actress. When I saw her in VD she was supposed to be a bad guy of sorts, but I just liked her too much to hold a grudge.

Ezekiel Crosse

eye canyd chord overstreet 11 Afternoon eye candy: Chord Overstreet (27 photos)
Chord Overstreet

Best Known For: Playing Sam in Glee.

Description: Zeke is described as handsome, tall and lean, with bright blue eyes and blonde hair (Wiki) 17-year-old Zeke is practically the anti-Allie. He's trusting and friendly, fiercely protective of the small clan that has gathered around his adoptive father, Jeb Crosse. He's been raised as a leader and taught some harsh lessons about obedience, loyalty and the irredeemable evil of vampires. (Main Page)

Why he would be perfect for Zeke: He is the spiting image of Zeke! I mean, look at those pictures! *fans herself*

OR

Zach Roering

Best Known For: Playing Matt Donovan in The Vampire Diaries.

(Main Page)

Why he would be perfect for Zeke: I have to be honest, when I read The Immortal Rules every time Zeke came into the picture I pictured Zach as my Zeke. He is just perfect for the part. Have you seen him in Vampire Diaries? Matt is like the nicest guy ever! He plays a very good nice guy, he is cute and blonde, and he has muscle! Plus I like him as an actor so sue me.

Kanin

Best Known For: Playing John Sheppard in Stargate: Atlantis

Description: Allie's sire–the vampire who turned her–is one of the Masters, the most ancient and powerful of his kind. His piercing black eyes, tall, muscular form and calm, quiet demeanor make for one ominous specimen of immortality. He is a patient but demanding teacher who keeps his secrets close. (Main Page)

Why he would be perfect to play Kanin: I wanted Kanin to be handsome, because he is described as such, but also to have some years on him that would make him look wise and sort of "been there, done that". This actor is not young, but then again he is not that old. He is handsome, and he looks like he could play the part of being a mentor. I went through a lot of people before I laid eyes on Joe, and the moment I did I instantly loved him for the part.

Jackal

Best Known For: Being Katy Perry's ex-husband and generally for being crazy and fun.

Description: The handsome and ruthless vampire king of Old Chicago likes his games bloody and his meals bloodier–both are supplied by the human gang of motorcycle raiders he commands.

Why he would be perfect to play Rackal: This vampire is generally described as being shit bat crazy and I believe Russell is shit bat crazy and whenever I think of Rackal this is the first person who comes to mind.

So what do you think? Good? Sort of good? Or am I out of my mind? Who would you cast?
