Bloody Bookaholic's Commandment:
Thou Shall Read Till Thy Eyes Bleed
This is the last BEA related post!
Day 2:
Becca Fitzpatrick was promoting her final book in the Hush Hush series with these two lovely men. They were walking around the line to go in the main floor and taking pictures with anybody that asked.
Yes, I took a picture with them! |
This is the second Harlequin Teen Hour event. Again the line was incredibly long, and they had to cut it. This time around I didn't start the line, but I was behind only like 5 people. |
Kady Cross signing The Girl in the Clockwork Collar. |
Katie McGarry, Author of Pushing the Limits. |
Julie Kagawa signing The Iron King, andshe was also kind enough to sign my copy of The Iron Daughter! Now I have the whole series signed! |
The people who took care of the lines in the signing area were for the most part very friendly and helpful! |
Maureen Johnson signing The Name of the Star. The signing started a little late due to some schedule confusion, but alas I got the book signed! |
Maureen Johnson being awesome. |
In Booth signing for Ever and Adam, with Katherine Applegate and Michael Grant. |
A photo of me and Sabrina Soto, a designer in HGTV! HGTV is my obsession, I love interior design and everything that has to do with it. |
The BIG reveal! Although 5 seconds later it was all over the web lol |
Libba Bray signing The Diviners. |
Kady Cross, writing under the name of Kate Locke, signing my copy of God Save the Queen. |
I met John Green! I didn't have his book with me at that moment, which makes me very very sad, but he was so nice he posed for me in front of his book cover. |
Bri from The Book Pixie and me as Charlie's Angels. |
Book Haul #2 |
BEA Day 3:
This day was much more tranquil and slow since I didn't have that many signings, but with it being open to the public it didn't feel like Thursday at BEA normally feels, deserted.
Jeff Hirsch, author of Magisterium, posing for the camera! |
Victoria Schwab |
Her line was ridiculous! Everybody seemed to want Breathe. I got it, signed, but just barely because they cut the line a little way behind me. |
The line for The Curiosities was without a doubt the longest line I stood in. This book wasn't even in my list of books to get, so I was just doing the line for Skylark when a friend came over to make the line for Skylark who already had the book The Curiosities. I saw the book, saw how it was written and how it was all about, and I took my copy of Skylark and ran to The Curiosities line. I made it! It took forever to get to the authors to get my copy signed, but it was so worth it! |
Maggie Stiefvater!! She is younger than I thought she was... and cooler. |
Book Haul #3 Smaller than the other two days, but every single one is priceless. |
Now I only have one more post for BEA, but that one is just going to be a sort of list of all the books I got. As you can see it was a great 3 days, and I wouldn't change it for the world. I got almost all the books in my wishlist, and I didn't miss any important signings (in fact I found more signings I wasn't aware of and totally made them). I can't freaking wait for next year! The only thing I would change is to get a hotel with an elevator lol
BEA was awesome this year! So great to hang out with you again my friend. I shall see you in a year.
ReplyDeleteAwesome pictures.
ReplyDeleteMaggie seems like such a bad a$$.
Fantastic haul.
Oooo I love that you grabbed the home design book too.
ReplyDeleteWhat a blast! Love MJ and Maggie Stiefvater! And I was so excited to meet Jeff Hirsch, too.
