F*ck'up Book

I went to borders a couple of weeks ago with some friends. And as I was walking down the 'Romance' section, looking for the occasional eye candy covers and Black Dagger Brotherhood books, I found this book called Deeper by Megan Hart. The cover, and the summary, seemed very interesting so I took it with me-- for a summary click on the tittle.

When I sit down with my friends and show them the book, my best friend Kylene taps my shoulder and tells me: "You noticed this book is f*ck'up right?"

And it certainly was! I looked it over, and If I wanted to buy it without knowing of its damages, now I wanted to buy it even more! I mean, it was unique on its f*ck'up way!

I took some pictures, so you guys could have some evidence.

If you see there are two pages that just continue, one right after the other. Also there are like half pages all around! And the way you put it back together, so you can actually close it, it's like doing a puzzle. And I love it. Because it's weird, unique, one of the kind.

In the end my friend bought it for me at 30% off. So the book was like 6 dollars.

I have a new motto now, which states,
'Even mutant books need to be loved.'

  2. Why would your friend buy you a messed up book when he/she could have bought you a nice copy of the book?

    * Unless you can fix it which looks impossible!

I have a mutant copy of Anne of Green Gables that I thought was kinda cool, but it doesn't hold a candle to your puzzle book!

  24. 30%?? How are you supposed to read it...?

The weirdest one I've come across is this one book that was missing like 20 pages, and it was nearly brand new. They just weren't there.

Also, on a sidenote, your music came on while I was reading this and nearly gave me a heart attack. The Bad Girls Don't Die book trailer made me jumpy. :P

  25. Wow. It's unique but it would drive me crazy to read it like that!? I like my books in great condition.

My ARC of Intertwined as pages falling out and I'm sooo upset! What if I lose a page?!? Extra pages wouldn't be so bad but LOST pages?! NO!
