Holy shit this is soo funny guys! This is Ellen reading Fifty Shades of Gray the latest "It" Twilight inspired fan fic made into an actual book to hit the streets. I don't really care much about the book because I haven't read it, and because I think it's a little like cheating to make money by piggyback riding out of another's author's work and fame, but if the opportunity presents itself I shall read it and give my honest to god opinion on it putting my feeling weird aside.
This however is not a book talking about the attributes of Fifty Shades of Gray, instead I thought that we all might need a few laughs this fine Sunday. This video will do just that. Enjoy!
I love Ellen! She is so funny, her commercials on TV are my favorites, specially the one where she is fighting with ladies about the price of the products ("$5.99? So essentially $6.00?"). Have you read Fifty Shades of Grey? Would you recomend it? What do you think about the book? The video? Leave me a comment so we can discuss "it"!
I saw this video a couple of days ago and I was crying from laughing so hard. I adore Ellen and she makes me laugh no matter what.
ReplyDeleteAs far as the book goes, I try to wait to read books with a ton of hype because I am always let down. I finally read Fifty Shades and I fell in love. It is a great book. I can see how it's considered Twilight fan fiction but at the same time, the story is completely different and then relationship between Ana and Christian is quite different from Edward and Bella.. not to mention this book isn't paranormal at all. I think it's worth reading if you just forget the fact that it's fan fiction. :)
OMG!!! I love Ellen! Thanks so much for this Tschima!!! >.< hehehehehehe I laughed.
ReplyDeleteI actually haven't read the book just yet...I want people to calm down and then maybe I'll read it, but I've been told is really a good adult read.
OMFG this was hilarious!!!!!! Seriously I loved this thank you so much for posting this.
ReplyDeleteEventually, I agree with you, it's a little ... shady to take a fanfic and publish is. Her fanbase was so head over heels about her writing snd her story, that she could have easily written something unqiue ...
OMG!!! I laugh my ass off on this video. Same 're. Haven't read it but gah! I think I'm totally gonna. Ergh! Lol. She's so hilarious! I totally heart her. Thanks for sharing this vid :D

LOL I love Ellen. That was hilarious! "Can I just paraphrase?" Oh and when she was making the sound effects I couldn't stop giggling :D Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteLol that was pretty funny. I have read the first two books and I feel they are worth reading. Sure it is fanfic of Twilight but it hardly seems like that for most of the two books I've read. If you pay close attention you can see some Twilight things but they don't really stand out to me.
ReplyDeleteMy big issue with the first book was that the author spends a lot of time explaining what BDSM really is. I felt the lesson was boring because I have been reading true erotica and BDSM for many years. I wanted the characters to just be in that type of relationship instead of it being explained to us. I would say if you are new to the genre it can be a good lesson and fascinating but for someone who reads that genre it is a bit boring in the first book to have that learning process happen.
Book two was much better and got rid of a lot of the things I didn't like about the first book.
I'm not trying to promote myself here, just giving you the option of a more in-depth look into my thoughts. I do have the reviews up on my blog Pages of Forbidden Love.
Thanks for this great post and clip.
Oh this is fantastic! Thank you so much for sharing! I just finished reading Fifty Shades of Grey yesterday and I recommend it. There are vague (VERY vague) traces of Twilight, but the story is not Twilight at all. In fact, I can't really see how this was a fan fic to begin with. Christian and Edward are TOTALLY different. Anyway. Thanks for the video!
ReplyDeleteHi ...just wondered what the other 2 books are that are in the triology !!!
ReplyDeleteThanks :)
@Nicka
