Who isn't waiting for City of Fallen Angels? It's one of the most anticipated titles of 2011 for crying out loud. To make the wait more bearable Cassandra Clare has been kind enough to post teasers on City of Fallen Angels for the last 12 months. Are you ready?
January 2010
“He is bound to you,” said the Queen. “But does he love you?”
February 2010
“‘That’s not the point, Simon.’ Maia had moved closer to Isabelle and the two of them faced him down together, an immovable wall of female rage.”

December's Teaser, the latest one yet.
"The alley and the music all fell away, and there was nothing but her and the rain and Jace, his hands on her. . . He made a noise of surprise, low in his throat, and dug his fingers into the thin fabric of her tights. Not unexpectedly, they ripped, and his wet fingers were suddenly on the bare skin of her legs. Not to be outdone, Clary slid her hands under the hem of his soaked shirt, and let her fingers explore what was underneath: the tight, hot skin over his ribs, the ridges of his abdomen, the scars on his back. This was uncharted territory for her, but it seemed to be driving him crazy: he was moaning softly against her mouth, kissing her harder and harder, as if it would never be enough, not quite enough —"
Wowsa... I need to read this book. It's not a matter of wanting, it's a matter of needing.

ReplyDeleteThese teasers are killing me! It's making it soooo much harder to wait! This is definitely going to be a book that I pre-order for my NOOK because I need to read this ASAP... April can't come fast enough!
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to it, but I'm not so desperate yet as I still have the previous two to read. I've only read City of Bones so far!
ReplyDeleteLove the teaser :)
I can't wait to read this. Thanks for sharing the teasers :)
ReplyDeleteI haven't read the series yet, they were on my xmas list but weren't in the mountain of books I got.
ReplyDeleteMy library has them, but they are at the central library, which is being refurbished, so they are unavailable until all the work is finished.
My birthday is not until June, so I guess I will have to wait until then.
On the bright side I will be able to read all four one after another, and I plan on getting the The Infernal Devices books aswell, so by the time I finish reading the books the next Infernal Devices book should be out.
Gah, I cannot wait! Thanks for posting (:

ReplyDelete+1
ReplyDeleteI haven't read this series but it's on my to-read. I think I've been put off from it because I'd read something on the internet claiming Cassandra Clare was stealing ideas from people off the internet or something...? Just rumors possibly, nothing that would stop me from reading the books, but something that has pushed them to the bottom of my to-read pile.
I actually don't like that last teaser. I skip those kinds of scenes because they're imprudent and impure. You say, "Wowsa!" I say, "Yikes!"
ReplyDeleteI love Cassandra Clare her stories is fantastic and I cannot wait for City of Fallen Angels.
ReplyDeleteYou are so right "It's not a matter of wanting, it's a matter of needing" ;-)
The December teaser is driving me mad! I can't wait for CoFA to be released!!!
