Sensible shoes for BEA? SHOES!!!

BEA is close by, so close by in fact that we must by now start buying plane tickets, getting in contact with people for hotel arrangements (thank you Lexie, without you I would be lying in the floor in the most awful fetal position ever), and well buying the wardrobe. It's NY, you have to dress with style! Professional yet comfy for BEA sure, but BEA doesn't last all day long right? RIGHT? Thats what I thought.

Here are some shoes I am dying to buy for the NY trip, most of them aren't comfy I would probably hate them by the end of the day, but don't they look gorgeous?

Fine. I know, I know the rules. You have to wear comfy shoes at BEA because if not you are going to be sorry (believe me, the comfier the better), but you can't blame a girl for falling in love with un-sensible heels. Here are some that make a bit more sense for BEA:

I found all of these at Cutesy Girl.com, my mother showed me the page and I fell in love. How does this relate in any way to books? BEA is Book Expo America and if you plan to go this May you might as well start planning two months ago. Or now would be fine too. It's going to be so much fun!! I can't wait!

Have you started to plan for BEA? Who's going?!

Waiting on Wednesday Guys

Hardcover: 544 pages
Expected Publication: December 6th 2011 by Del Rey Books
A maximalist, post-apocalyptic, neo-Victorian steampunk zombie novel in which a girl, whose blood is impervious to the “Z-virus,” searches for her missing dad, is kidnapped by (good) zombies, falls improbably in love with a rather sweet zombie boy, and sets out to save the world from a zombie plague beyond imagining.
As far as romantic pairings go in the year 2195, you don't get much more unlikely than an upper-class schoolgirl and a poor miner from enemy tribes. Filter in the fact that he's a zombie, and you're definitely talking about star-crossed love.
Dearly, Departed is a cyber-Victorian/steampunk romance that takes place in the shadow of a new ice age. Nora Dearly, a mouthy teenage girl and apparent orphan, leaves school for Christmas - only to be dragged into the night by the living dead. Luckily for her, though, the good ones got to her first. From her reanimated rescuers she learns not only that zombies are roaming the countryside, but that her father is one - and that he's in terrible trouble. She also meets Captain Bram Griswold, a noble, strong, and rather sweet undead boy for whom she starts to fall.
Meanwhile, her best friend, Pamela Roe, is just trying to carry on with life as best she can in the wake of Nora's disappearance - when she ends up killing an evil zombie in self-defense. Pam is galvanized into action, and ends up leading a group of survivors as the city of New London is thronged by the ravenous dead.
Upon hearing of Pamela's plight, Nora and Bram set out to rescue her friends, find her missing father, and maybe just save what's left of the world.
First off the cover is beautiful. Dark, gothic-steampunk. The color is just awesome. Second, did you read the summary? I mean it's got just about everything, dystopian, zombies, steampunk, neo-victorian? What is this author trying to do?! So many different things in one! It could turn out to be either one of the best books ever... or a complete disaster. Personally I'm hoping for the best book ever scenario.

And Third, hopefully this will make it into your wish list =D

Hunger Games Peeta and Gale Casting...

Well, here are our guys...

Josh Hutcherson as Peeta Mellark;

Liam Hemsworth is Gale Hawthorne.

Why hello Peeta, Gale. You guys are not what I had in mind. Peeta you were this cute sensitive guy who could totally catch you off guard on your hot moments (which at times coincided when your pissed; In the Hunger Games when you smash that Haymitch's liquor? So cool), also you were blonde. Gale, your pretty hot, but your white. Why are you so white? Where's your olive skin tone? I don't see it anywhere! Did you pull an MJ? I guess you did. Actually Gale, you could be Peeta, and Peeta could be no one because Peeta DOESNT BELONG HERE. Yes I said it! Go home Josh. Or better yet act your ass off in the movie and convince me your Peeta. If you don't manage to do that, well then, there WILL be an uprising in the Blogosphere districts. Starting right here. And that goes for both of you. As president Snow, may he be rotting in the darkest corner of hell, once said, aim higher and convince ME (Catching Fire).

You have been warned...

PS; Zombie Girrrl has a solution for the hair job. Check it out.
PPS; Fan Art made Peeta blonde, but is it enough? Thanks for the link Devan. Check it out.
