Best Books & Series of 09 (YA Version-with pictures!)

Ok so here's the thing. There are going to be a series of posts for the best of 09 (Best Books, Best Series, Best female and male characters). There are 2 categories YA and Adult since I read both. I will start with YA today and tomorrow I will post the adult version. Sounds like fun right? It is.

09 was a great year for YA. A lot of new authors, a lot of beginnings, and a lot of endings. I wish some series could just go on and on, don't you? Yeah, it was also a great year in the blogging scene since it;s the only year I can actually talk about lol I started blogging on February and if you would have told me that by December over 600 people would be reading what I wrote I would have called you crazy. But here we are now and I could not be happier.

Oh and one last thing...

One of the Best Fighting Scenes of 09:

It's the battle at the end when Rose kicks some ass. If you have read the series you know what I am talking about. I don't want to say much because I don't want to spoil it for others but oh it's good. I read it a couple of times. I love the fighting scenes on this series since all of them are basically fighting-for-your-life and Gosh-I-really-don't-want-to-be-drained-by-that-Strogoi.

See you soon,

  1. I think I have to disagree with the last one Taschi~

In my personal opinion, I think the best fight scene was with Rose and Christian and such in Shadow Kissed.

    That was pretty wicked awesome...

But then again.. That one scene in Frostbite was cool... Ah. I don't know. Now I'm conflicted. =(

  2. Nice list! I still haven't started a couple of these series, but I need to! Can't wait to see your other favorites this week :)

  3. I just started blogging so this is my 1st comment:

My Favorite YA books of the year go to The Van Alen Legacy by Melissa De la Cruz, Catching Fire by Suzanne Collin, and Rapture of the Deep by L.A. Meyer.

My Favorite Series corresponds with the books: The Blue Blood Series, The Hunger Games series, and the Bloody Jack Series.

Many of the books you have posted I have not had the pleasure of reading. Hope to change that soon

  4. 2009 was a fantastic year for YA! I found a lot of new books to read (and obsess over)...you mentioned a few of them actually! *gasp* City of the Beasts by Isabel Allende! I thought I was the only one that read that book :)

  5. I love lists like these. Thanks for taking the time to make one!

  6. Awesome! Love the VA series and the MI series! And you're right, the fight scene in the end of Frostbite is awesome!!!!

  7. Great list! I'm glad that I have read at least half of the books on your list, just the other half to go ;) And the fighting scenes in VA - so good!
