"Merry meet, merry part, and merry meet again"

So…you’d think after banishing an immortal being and a fallen High Priestess, saving Stark’s life, biting Heath, getting a headache from Erik, and almost dying, Zoey Redbird would catch a break. Sadly, a break is not in the House of Night school forecast for the High Priestess in training and her gang. Juggling three guys is anything but a stress reliever, especially when one of them is a sexy Warrior who is so into protecting Zoey that he can sense her emotions.

Speaking of stress, the dark force lurking in the tunnels under the Tulsa Depot is spreading, and Zoey is beginning to believe Stevie Rae could be responsible for a lot more than a group of misfit red fledglings. Aphrodite’s visions warn Zoey to stay away from Kalona and his dark allure, but they also show that it is Zoey who has the power to stop the evil immortal. Soon it becomes obvious that Zoey has no choice: if she doesn’t go to Kalona he will exact a fiery vengeance on those closest to her. Will Zoey have the courage to chance losing her life, her heart, and her soul?

Find out in the next spectacular installment in the House of Night Series, Tempted.

Taschima:

The House of Night sure knows how to bounce back from almost being defeated.

The series started great, and it got better till the fourth book, then it kind of slowed down on the great factor. But after this one I gotta say its getting better than ever. We start were we left off (as always). Zoey just sent the fallen immortal and Neferet very very far away, and is now dealing with whats left behind. But is not only Zoey who has problems, Stevie Ray has her share of troubles, even keeping secrets from her friends. Plus Zoey has her usual boy drama, which is getting more cleared up now (thank the goddess). Will it be Eric, Heath, Stark ooor Kalona?

Ugh the boy drama, I mean come on I understand two of them, maybe 3, but she seriously has to do something about this. Erik has changed a lot. At first he was the sweetest guy ever, and never gave signs of being possessive or anything, but now apparently he is the asshole. Which really saddens me, I really liked him. But with me, out goes Erik and in goes Stark. Oh but Heath. I always felt a little sorry for Heath, maybe because he reminds me of someone I know...

One of the things I really liked about this book is the different POVs. For me, it was a really good change of the way of things. And I don't think I could have taken 336 pages of Zoey. I think this might be what saved the series from dying.

This was a very good book. My favorite of the bunch I may say. Zoey is growing up and trying to see what she is going to do with her life. Stevie Ray stopped being a background character since she became a red vampire, but in this one you'll love her (or hate her) even more. And Aprhodite, well, she has always been one of the faves.

The ending, oh goddess the ending. My eyes got misty. If I would have not been on Pre Calc I may have silently cried a little. So, so sad. She kills one of the main characters. Not going to tell you which one though. Read the book. Ugh and such a cliff hanger. I just hope the next book is the last, or pre to the last, this can't go on any longer.

  3. This series is a weakness for me. I seriously love it. But I agree parts of the series have been dragging horribly. I can't wait to read this installment. I really hope she didn't kill off one of the twins *worries* I think they're possibly my favorite characters in this series. And Erik the asshole, ugh NOT looking forward to that. He was starting to asshole up a bit in the last book, I was hoping he'd fix it by now.
