US vs UK: The Lost Prince by Julie Kagawa (+Giveaway)

US - UK

Now, I am a fan of The Lost Prince's US cover. The hotness that is Ethan cannot be contained, plus the color blue, the details and the font help connect this new book with the overall Iron Fey series. Also the tattoos on Ethan look pretty damn cool!

But, you know there was a but coming, that UK cover looks pretty darn amazing. It looks so fae, so extremely fae, that I can't help but instantly love it. The font isn't my favorite, nor the reference to "Show White and The Huntsman" on the top corner, but the image is irresistble.

So I would have to say it's a solid tie. When it comes to connecting the series together the US cover does it's job well, but if we are talking which image is the more breath taking one as a stand alone that would have to be UK all the way.

Thoughts? Comments? Which one do you think it's the best? If you were on a store looking for a new read, which one would attract you more?

  1. I love the UK cover. I think most covers for the UK are better than the US one's and that's not me being bias because I live there. It's just I think the UK covers usually reflect the story better.
I got an arc of this book too and I really liked it :)
    Great blog

  2. The Rafflecopter isn't showing up. I don't think the code is complete. That happens to me all the time! :P

  3. I definitely prefer this UK one, though that reference to the movie is annoying I agree. I haven't read any of these books, but the UK is instantly more breath-taking and makes me want to read it more.

Also, I'm not US so I can't enter anyway, but you have a broken link in your giveaway :)

  8. I like the UK one much more and I agree with Amy: the UK covers are usually more relevant to the story whereas US covers are more...fanciful. Yeah, I agree with you: it's incredibly fae and that's exactly why I love it!

  11. There is just too much going on in the UK cover. I can't focus my eyes. I'm sticking with the US cover.

  14. I prefer the US cover. Something about the UK cover looks less polished to me.

  15. They're both amazing covers but I think I prefer the US one a little more (probably because there's more blue incorporated into the image...blue is my favorite color after all ;D).

  17. Both covers are beautiful. Really. But when I first saw the UK cover, I thought it was a graphic novel version and got all excited...only to find out it was just another cover for the nove.
