The cover SUCKS, but the summary seemed pretty good. Furious girls, mythology, revenge... I'm there! |
There are people in this world who are Nobody. No one sees them. No one notices them. They live their lives under the radar, forgotten as soon as you turn away.
That’s why they make the perfect assassins.
The Institute finds these people when they’re young and takes them away for training. But an untrained Nobody is a threat to their organization. And threats must be eliminated.
Sixteen-year-old Claire has been invisible her whole life, missed by the Institute’s monitoring. But now they’ve ID’ed her and send seventeen-year-old Nix to remove her. Yet the moment he lays eyes on her, he can’t make the hit. It’s as if Claire and Nix are the only people in the world for each other. And they are—because no one else ever notices them.
So, now, all you have to do is say if you would read it or not!
(Yes or no will suffice if you don't wanna write a lot)
Next Wednesday I will post a new summary with no image,
I will also post the cover and book information of this week.
Would I read this book? From the summary alone, I'd say no, but you HAVE to read the prologue! In fact, I'll add it below...
PS; If you know the name, image or whatever of this book do not say anything. Don't give any sort of information away please.
One week earlier . . .
Nine letters. Two words. He refused to think of them as a name. With detached objectivity, his steady hands set the thin white paper, with its evenly spaced black lettering, to the side.
He’d done this before.
One, Two, Three . . .
He’d do this again. More needles, more knives. More evenly spaced black letters that carved themselves, blood-red, into the recesses of his mind.
The only way you can make a difference in this world is to kill.
From the moment he’d opened the envelope and see the name, the pictures; from the moment he’d committed those nine letters to memory, the outcome had been a foregone conclusion. His target had been marked. Death was coming.
So be it.
PS; If you know the name, image or whatever of this book do not say anything. Don't give any sort of information away please.
Sounds like an interesting read! can't wait to check this out!

Yes I would read the book based on that synopsis :-)
ReplyDeleteP.S Is the Furious an indie book? That cover is BAD (Not saying that indie book covers are all bad though!)
@Sam I think its being published by Henry Holt and Co. BYR, which might be a small publishing company, but in fact I have no idea lol But yeah, the cover is pretty bad, and nah not all indie books have bad covers, though most do, I got ya >.<
ReplyDeleteI would read it.
ReplyDeleteI would read it. And btw, this is just a suggestion, but it would help if you put a link to the Goodreads page when you show the cover for last week's summery, because I like adding books to my TBR. Thanks :)
ReplyDelete@Emily, Noted! I shall put the link to its Goodreads Page ^^
ReplyDeleteI was hooked from the first sentence of the summary, but the prologue just increased my sudden need to READ THIS BOOK!!! I REALLY want it now!!!!!!! Like, a lot... like, a WHOLE lot!
ReplyDeleteI love stories with assassins and I saw this summary on a WoW this week so I'm definitely interested. I don't think I really liked the cover though so it's a good thing I don't *always* judge by the cover.
