DARKSOULS
Ana has always been the only one. Asunder. Apart. But after Templedark, when many residents of Heart were lost forever, some hold Ana responsible for the darksouls–and the newsouls who may be born in their place.
SHADOWS
Many are afraid of Ana’s presence, a constant reminder of unstoppable changes and the unknown. When sylph begin behaving differently toward her and people turn violent, Ana must learn to stand up not only for herself but for those who cannot stand up for themselves.
LOVE
Ana was told that nosouls can’t love. But newsouls? More than anything, she wants to live and love as an equal among the citizens of Heart, but even when Sam professes his deepest feelings, it seems impossible to overcome a lifetime of rejection.
In this second book in the Incarnate trilogy, Ana discovers the truth about reincarnation and will have to find a way to embrace love and make her young life meaningful. Once again, Jodi Meadows explores the extraordinary beauty and shadowed depths of the soul in a story equal parts epic romance and captivating fantasy.
I had to look up what Asunder means, and here is what google told me it means:
Apart; Divided.Into Pieces.
Sounds very intriguing. I am sure this title must fit perfectly, if only I had read this series!
I always love how the covers for the New Soul series always play with colour. The red mixed with the blue looks beaautiful. But! I still like the cover of Incarnate more.
The cover of Asunder somehow looks like a drawing, could be for all I know. Anyways, together they both make for stunning covers. In love! Have any of you read this series? Is it any good? I wanted to read it, maybe I will soon.
I've read the first book and it was ok. It started off beautifully and I was thinking it was going to be a great YA fantasy read but it never came together like I was hoping! I was left feeling off put by the boring storyline that developed along the way.
ReplyDeletePlus I just couldn't connect well with any of the characters. The idea was very cool and there is a small part of me that wants to read the second book to see where this idea is going but I'm certainly not rushing out to get a copy in 2013.
Oh wow, looks amazing!!!! I'm still waiting for Incarnate in the post!!! :)
ReplyDeleteI like the title, but not gonna lie, I'm not a fan of the opaque mask. It kind of startled me a bit when I saw it. It just doesn't look right...
ReplyDeleteI had mixed feelings about book 1. But I LOVE the covers. Gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteThese covers are so pretty! I wish I could tell you whether this series is worth reading, but this is the first I've heard of it. It sounds like an interesting series though!
