And I...
Am in between love and hate (But a LOT more close to love) lol It is so not better than Hush Hush, it doesn't have that 'Wow' captivating factor of the first one...
Now THAT is a wow factor. One of the best covers of 09. Second one is sooo awesome, but not majestic. And I like the girl in the cover. I know a lot of people were expecting the hottie to show up it's beautiful face, BUT I think this book will be more focused on the girl this time around. So that's good. I also like the feather, and the sort of foreshadow about how things are going to get ugly this time around. Is there a third book in the oven?
Anyways, this leads me to the other part of my post. A mini US VK UK. This time around is all about Hush Hush.

... and they are basically the same. Just the second one is more real. I want fantasy. I love the first one. The clouds and everything.
There is no much difference, but at the same time there is a world of difference. I would buy the first one, and think about getting the second one.
The new Crescendo cover just looks like so many other covers out there. I've noticed a real rise in actual photos being used...and it's not bad, but it does make a lot of covers look the same.

Yeah, I really don't get why they changed the UK cover of Hush, Hush when like you said it's basically the same but not as nice. D: And I really do love the Crescendo cover, not as much as Hush, Hush but I think it's great. Becca won the cover jackpot with these.
ReplyDeleteAs for the cover for Crescendo, I do like it, I think it has a similar feel to Hush, Hush. If you all ask me - we're all just missing Patch from it's cover :o)
ReplyDeleteAs for the Hush, Hush covers... I like the first one better too. The second is good, but I like the dark mysterious side of the first more so above the second.

The US for sure. The UK just doesnt catch my attention.
ReplyDeleteI like the books but I think Fallen by Lauren Kate is better, her covers are AMAZING for Fallen and Torment.
I'm starting to like the Crescendo cover a bit more everytime I see it. I still don't love it as much as the Hush, Hush cover though. And I really don't like the U.K. cover at all.
ReplyDeleteI much prefer the US Hush cover. I guess Crescendo does match well with Hush, but I don't really like it.
ReplyDeleteHaving actually held the UK version, I like it a bit better than the US in that on the inside, it is like black with feathers. As far as the outside covers go, they both have qualities I like.

I like the first one better, cause it looks more... dark. Mysterious. With the second one, it just looks like an ordinary cover, somehow. I like it drained of color. It somehow looks more dramatic to me.

ReplyDeleteI'm a bit disappointed in Crescendo. I think it would look good on its own but not with HH as it's predecessor. I like the whole thunder + crescendo thing though but the font looks kinda cheap :/

No, the second Hush, Hush cover has NOTHING on the first! I can't say I like it at all, whereas the first one pretty much convinced me to buy the book (which I am so happy about, because it is EXCELLENT!) ... I quite like the Crescendo cover, but hmmm could be that I just enjoyed the first book so much that they could have done pretty much anything to the sequel's cover, and I'd still think it's awes0me :) It's pretty because it matches the first, and I quite like the rain and lightning effect ... yeah, it's cool. I'll FOR SURE be buying it!

ReplyDeleteI like the US much more. The UK doesn't seem as dramatic. Crescendo is fine. I like it, but you're right - not as 'wow' as hush hush.

I think the US Hush Hush cover is absolutely awesome. If you go the author's website, they explain how they filmed it. The Crescendo cover is meh...nothing spectacular to me.

ReplyDeleteCrescendo's isn't that bad. I personally love it, but not as much as Hush, Hush's cover. Who doesn't love a shirtless guy? ;)
ReplyDeleteAnd I really, really like the UK's cover of Hush, Hush. Though, as you said, it lacks that fantasy aspect.
I actually like the Crescendo cover. Ithink it relates quite well to the first and has foreboding about it. But it also is it's own unique book. I really can't stand when an author has many books with almost identical covers.

ReplyDeleteI like the Crescendo's novel, but not as much as the first. And the UK doesn't look that different from the US version, I don't see why they even bothered. It's kind of stupid, lol. I like the US better.
