What if love could last forever?

Just as Ever is learning everything she can about her new abilities as an immortal, initiated into the dark, seductive world by her beloved Damen, something terrible is happening to him. As Ever’s powers are increasing, Damen’s are fading—stricken by a mysterious illness that threatens his memory, his identity, his life.

Desperate to save him, Ever travels to the mystical dimension of Summerland, uncovering not only the secrets of Damen’s past—the brutal, tortured history he hoped to keep hidden—but also an ancient text revealing the workings of time. With the approaching blue moon heralding her only window for travel, Ever is forced to decide between turning back the clock and saving her family from the accident that claimed them—or staying in the present and saving Damen, who grows weaker each day...

Taschima's POV:

So...

I enjoyed this book, but not as much as the first one.

The story moves along quite well, it is very well paced. We have a number of problems in this novel, but the author always keeps you on the main one, while connecting all the problems at the end, then giving you a big fat smile on your face.

The characters, well, I guess they were kind of the same as in the first book. Damen, is Damen, and we don't get to see a lot of him, so that explains the non character development. Her friends keep being the same, but they aren't that important -still can't stomach Haven. Ever now, she grew, she didn't fall for some things so easily, while she fell totally on her face for others. All in all I like her, and think in the third book she will only get even better.

The story was full of twists, and it kept you guessing. Friends seem to be enemies, enemies seemed to be friends.

The end had a twist which I appreciated, like a lot. It makes you want to keep reading and just at that point.. the end. DAMN! Give me the next book already!

PS; This is a special announcement. I received some goodies from Jessica Verday, author of The Hollow, and I decided to give some away to whoever wins Meridian! So now you will win Meridian plus extra goodies!! So, keep entering the contest!

  6. Ew, Haven. Will she ever grow up?

Good to hear that Ever grows stronger emotionally and...psychically? o.O YAY GOODIES! Oh and thank you for your advice. I always strive to be honest in my reviews but sometimes I wish I were more blunt. But I'm no Jessica Darling (you still need to read these books. I'm going to annoy you until you do.)
