When you go and look into your dictionary under the word blasphemy this is what appears...
Yes, you got it fellows, a picture of Hannah Montana, Miley Cirus, or Tinker Bell whatever she calls herself these days.
Followers: Why does she appear under the word blasphemy Taschima?
Me: Why I am glad you asked...
Its because she is going to star in "Wings", a new film based on the best-selling Aprilynne Pike novel by the same name, reports Variety
They could have chosen Emma Watson, Dakota Fanning if you like, but why her!? Why the two personality freak girl? I'm blonde, no I'm dark haired, no now I want you to put me on some robes and call me Gandalf.
Yes, I have a problem with her, mostly I think she don't act and she sings like the anti Christ, but well that's just me. You know I actually think her trying to think, master a thought, it's the cause of global warming. How she wrote a book is beyond me. Least to say that I do not support this. Sure they are going to sell thousands, if not even millions of tickets to the movie, but the only people who are going to see it are Hannah fans, and is the protagonist of Wings by any chance blond? That would make my day, and hers. She won't have to buy another wig!
And not only this, but she is also in the process of filming her next movie, "The Last Song," which is based on a novel that romance author Nicholas Sparks ("The Notebook") wrote as a vehicle for Cyrus.
Someone put me, or her, out of my misery.
PS; I am sorry Hannah fans, but this is my opinion, and its a free country. I didn't post this to upset someone, I posted this because I needed to let it out, and for more people to know about it.

I think I'm gonna be sick. *gag* She really annoys me and I can't believe they would cast her. Wait no I can believe it. Its all about making money these days, not a good movie. Great post Taschima. :D

Ya I saw this during my morning browsing and thought ICK! I haven't had the chance to read the book but I wouldn't pick her to play in it.

ReplyDeleteYou know, I didn'tn really like Wings, but I agree Miley Cyrus is not really the person to portray the live version. She's not like that main character (whose name is completely escaping me, that's how little i thought of the book) at all.
ReplyDeleteI'm not going to lie... I don't mind Miley Cyrus. I think she's a good actress (in Hannah Montana) and I like her music. I haven't read either of these books, but it would be cool if they picked some more unknown actresses. I guess since it's Disney though, I'm not surprised that they picked her. Well, I hope she does well and I hope she doesn't disapoint you as much as you're predicting her to. It's never fun to see a book you like turned into a movie you hate.

ReplyDeleteI don't why it is that she's so famous. She can't sing her way out a paper bag and the same goes for her acting. Plus she's a terrible role model for the little girls she's being marketed to. "Inappropiate cell pics," ring a bell?
I like how their turning YA books into movies...but Miley Cyrus? Yuck. The way she talks annoys me :/
ReplyDeleteI'm not a Hannah fan, but I don't have any problem with Miley Cyrus. I saw her in an interview a few weeks ago, and she actually seemed quite cool. If the girl can act, why not? As I said, I'm not a Hannah fan, but I'd still go see this movie. I think it's awesome she's doing this. And wow, a Nicholas Sparks movie? That I gotta see!

ReplyDeleteI don't really have a problem with her, and since I haven't read the book I can't say I"m very upset. I do, however, have a problem with producers deciding she's going to star in a movie (probably to get tickets to sell) when there are many other actresses who would probably act it better (or, you know, act it at all depending on what you think of her).

Oh dear. This just ruined the book for me. I have it in my TBR pile. But not all I will think of when I read the book is Miley Cyrus. I think I'll go throw up now...

I have not seen Cyrus act beyond the thirty seconds I saw of her one Saturday morning while channel surfing, I'm less than optimistic about her talents in a feature film.

Can I just say how happy I am that there are people who HATE her? I am SO SICK of people liking her. She really doesn't have much of a talent. She's just going to ruin the book.

ReplyDeleteHmm, Emma Watson, that might be a good choice. I agree though, Miley doesn't make a good Laurel. They should have gone with a cute unknown. Seems Hollywood is just pushing Miley on everyone. Shame, its a great book!
