One name. Helena Bonham Carter. That's enough for me to want to watch this movie. Helena is an amazing actress.
12. Mirror Mirror

Coming Out: March 16th
I want to watch this one because I want to see how good Lily Collins is since she is going to be playing Clary in the movie adaptation of The City of Bones. Other than that I really think the other Snow White movie is going to kick more ass than this one- even if it has Kristen Stewart as Snow White.
11. Les Miserables

Coming Out: December 7th
Anne Hathaway and Hugh Jackman in one movie. YES. Plus I've been interested in Les Miserables since I read Fracture by Megan Miranda (The characters go and see the play in the book).

Emma Watson playing a character that is not Hermione Granger. I love Emma, I think she is a terrific actress, and so I shall watch this movie. I am really hoping its good.

Daniel Radcliffe trying something new. Not only that, but the movie looks like it will truly be creepy and worth my while! Been waiting for this one since last year. Watch the trailer please.
05. Men in Black 3

Coming Out: May 25th
Men in Black is a classic. When I saw the title alone I was like "No, please don't fuck with this series, it's too good!" but then I saw the trailer and went "Holy sweet baby Jesus Batman I have to watch it!"
04. Underworld IV
Trailer
Coming Out: January 20
Coming Out: January 20
Same as with Men In Black. You see the IV and it's like Noooooo, but then I thought "At least I'll get to see Selene kick some more ass, and the premise seems interesting." The only thing worrying me about it is that I don't think Michael is going to be in this film. Where the fuck is Michael!?
03. The Vow
Trailer
Coming Out: February 10th
Coming Out: February 10th
Rachel McAdams is my favorite actress. I loved her on mean Girls, on The Notebook, on Morning Glory, The Time Traveler's Wife... She plays a lot of different characters and she nails them every single time. The guy is also pretty hot, I liked him in Step Up. But I'm mostly watching it for her and the story.
02. The Hobbit
Who, who isn't waiting for this amazing movie? I could watch and re watch Lord of the Rings about a hundred times. When I saw the trailer for this movie... It was the happiest day of my life. Can't wait to see my old pal Magneto again =D
01. The Hunger Games
Trailer
Coming Out: March 23
Coming Out: March 23
Shall I go on? I think I shall. When I read The Hunger Games I basically thought it was the best dystopian novel I have ever read. It still is. The movie had me worried, it really did, because let's be honest not many movies made out of books give them justice. But this movie? Holy crap. For once the casting was dead on (my only complaint was Cinna), the trailer looked amazing, and I really think they are going to do the book justice! It's like a dream coming true in theaters near you.
There you have it, the 13 movies I can't wait to watch (by number of importance). I probably left off some other major ones, but this list seems to sum it up pretty well I believe. Which ones are your "can't wait for" films? Out of this list? Out of your own list? Tell me it, I may add some other titles to my gold list.
Remember to enter my Good Bye 2011 contest! The Link is on the top, but you can also just click here and it will take you to the post. I have about 40 books to give away, who wants them?!
I've always secretly hoped Helena would play Miss Havisham. Perfect casting! I'll see most of these, if only because I love all the actors!
ReplyDeleteBreakind dawn part 2!! and hunger games is on my list to :)
ReplyDeleteBrave - at first I thought it was a regular movie, then the dinner table scene came up and wow! Totally one to take daughters and granddaughters to (also the boys).
ReplyDeleteAbout Dark Shadows, hell, they had me at Johnny Depp!
Snow White and the Huntsmen - oh my gosh, not your g rated fairytale, huh? kind seems old school, wicked! Want to see it.
Thanks for posting these, I hadn't been paying attention to the new movies, but it's good to see that there's good ones to look forward to. :)
SNOW WHITE AND the Huntsman and the HUNGER GAMES!!!! OMG!! I WANT TO WATCH LIKE NOwwww!!
ReplyDeleteYou picked some nice movies. Some of them sound really interesting. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteMy friend and I actually posted a list at the beginning of this year, or was it the end of last year? Either way it was a list of movies we want to see and on it we also have Underworld IV, The Hunger Games and Brave but I can't believe I forgot to add Perks of Being a Wallflower we also have a few picks that you didn't mention like The Dark Knight Rises for example? Come on now darling you can't skip that one :)
ReplyDeleteMovies We Can't Wait to See in 2012
We also want to see Rise of the Guardians but it's not on that list because their isn't a trailer out yet.
@Mardel No problem ^^
ReplyDelete@Sandy I saw your post, and most of the ones I didn't have on this list were Spider Man, Avengers, Batman... I liked my old Spider Man so I am not excited for this newbie, I would watch the Avengers but am not super excited about it, same with Batman (no Heath Ledger... He made the last movie!).
the last two are the ones i cant wait for! hunger games + hobbit = BEST DAY EVERRRRRR!
ReplyDeleteOooh, I really want to see The Hunger Games and Snow White and..... *shrugs* Guess the theater will be getting all of my money too! :D
ReplyDeleteThose are definitely great selections. I also want to see the next Batman: Dark Knight Rises and The Great Gatsby!
ReplyDelete@Vivien with Leonardo DiCaprio!
ReplyDeleteSo excited to see another Helena Bonham Carter movie! She's my favorite actress without a doubt and I do really love Great Expectations. A must see for sure. :]
ReplyDeleteI love "Wallflower!" I read it simply because it was on the top ten banned books list, and I like reading banned books.
ReplyDeleteOMIGOD THE HUNGER GAMES!!!!
Great Expectations, Helena Bonham Carter is incredible and she looks gorgeous in that picture. Mirror, Mirror because I am really starting to like Lily Collins as an actress. I'm slightly excited for Les Miserables because I think musical theatre is awesome but I haven't watched the original yet so I have to do that before I see this new version. Perks of Being a Wallflower; hell yes! Logan Lerman and Emma Watson? Could the people in this movie get any hotter?! :D Snow White and the Huntsman definitely, I love dark remakes of fairytales and the voices of Charlize Theron and Chris Hemsworth in this movie sounds so beautiful in the trailer. The Woman in Black, two words, Daniel Radcliffe. And of course The Hunger Games! :D I'm gonna apply at the cinemas for a job cause I'm secretly hoping that when HG has finished showing, they'll let me keep the posters and cardboard cut-outs ;D
ReplyDeleteOh! I also really want to watch Journey 2 The Mysterious Island, only because of Josh Hutcherson ;)
ReplyDeleteTotally seeing The Vow for Channing Tatum!! I think he is good looking no matter what my boyfriend says, he is only jello of my crush.
ReplyDeleteI also can't wait to see The Hunger Games.
The Hunger Games, the Hobbit and the final installment of the Twilight Saga... those would be the ones I'm most looking forward to! Mirror Mirror and SWATH are also way up there on my list!
ReplyDeleteThe Vow is definitely the one I'm looking forward to most! I haven't decided if I want to see the Hunger Games or not. I am not happy with the casting (especially Cinna). However, I did get chills when I saw the trailer so maybe...
ReplyDeleteI'm also looking forward to The Vow- the trailer looks so heartbreaking and romantic! Of course, I cannot wait for The Hunger Games to be released and The Perks of Being a Wallflower is definitely one I'm looking forward to. And The Hobbit, of course! The Daniel Radcliffe one looks good too, although I wasn't aware of it before. Great choices!:)
ReplyDeleteSarah
So many great sounding movies on your list. There are a lot of them that I cannot wait to see as well.
ReplyDeleteAhaks! The Hunger Games for sure. Just went to the theatre and saw The Huntsman and Snow White board. Haven't seen the trailer yet though. Off to see it!
