I thought it was Fan-fricking-tastic!!! A friend of mine introduced me today to the awesomeness that is Dr. Horrible. The character is played by Neil Patrick Harris, a guy which I am totally in love with. He is hilarious! I love him in How I Met Your Mother.
Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along is exactly that, it's a sing-along about an evil guy who wants to rule the world. He wants to be evil enough to deserve HER attention. He wants to be worthy of HER. Her? Well, you'll have to watch it to find out who she is.
It's funny, it's unexpected, it's with Neil Patrick Harris!!!!!
The ending left me with my jaw literately opened wide! I didn't think I would like it as much as I did! I say thank you 100 times to the person who showed me this, let's call her Kristen (Fake Name).
It's also very short so it won't take you long to watch it completely, not that you will even want to stop watching after starting it :P

ReplyDeleteI have saw this many times!! It totally rocks. The first time I ever watched this was when you could buy "Repo: The Genetic Opera" on dvd. It came with it as an extra dvd. It totally rocks!! So glad you have decided to share this with everyone!

ReplyDeleteI LOVE Dr. Horrible!! It's pretty much made of awesome. Taschima, have you also seen Firefly, starring Nathan Fillion (aka Captain Hammer, Corporate Tool), or The Guild, starring Felicia Day??
ReplyDeleteI've shown this to pretty much all of my friends who all love it. I think I would judge those harshly that didn't like it. The songs, acting, costumes, etc are all awesome. It's perfect and I can't wait for the sequel.

I loved it, too! I've watched it so many times, I even know all the song lyrics :) I love NPH & Nathan Fillion, too :) Who hasn't watched it, should watch it right away :) Simply hilarious :)

I loved it. I actually bought a calendar as a joke to put in the computer room.
ReplyDeleteThis is my favorite movie EVER. I had NEVER connected with film characters like I did in this movie. I'm seriously obsessed, as in "I've Watched It Literally 50 Times And Know Each Word To Every Song" obsessed. It. Is. Epic. Glad you enjoyed it too!

@tubathespian No I haven't! But I imagine it would be double the fun if I had!! I did watch Buffy so I kind of got the link between this and the musical episode on Buffy, some of the melodies are EXTREMELY similar.

I showed it to my best friend, and I was so worried about her response because I loved it so much I don't think I could survive if she didnt love it.
ReplyDeleteLike Taschima, I showed this to EVERYONE and always feared that they wouldn't see the wonder that I saw and that I'd feel disappointed. Luckily, people were always won over by the end of the first act (even those that were unsure at the start). I'm excited for the sequel. Anyone know when that is coming?
