An assassin’s loyalties are always in doubt.
But her heart never wavers.
After a year of hard labor in the Salt Mines of Endovier, eighteen-year-old assassin Celaena Sardothien has won the king's contest to become the new royal assassin. Yet Celaena is far from loyal to the crown – a secret she hides from even her most intimate confidantes.
Keeping up the deadly charade—while pretending to do the king's bidding—will test her in frightening new ways, especially when she's given a task that could jeopardize everything she's come to care for. And there are far more dangerous forces gathering on the horizon -- forces that threaten to destroy her entire world, and will surely force Celaena to make a choice.
Where do the assassin’s loyalties lie, and who is she most willing to fight for?
I love the art of this cover, it looks pretty kick ass. The only thing that I am not happy with is that it doesn't really go with the first cover...
The first cover appealed more to girls, true, and the new cover looks to be wanting to appeal to a broader audience (which is always great!) I just wished they thought about it at the beginning. Now my covers don't match :(
Rebel Spring on the other hand gets it. It is a pretty cool cover that will appeal to a broad audience, and it still maintains the spirit of the first cover. Like as soon as I say the RS cover I knew what series it belonged to.
I like Crown of Midnight's cover but I agree it doesn't match the first book very well
ReplyDeleteThese covers are absolutely beautiful!!! I also enjoyed the Throne of Glass book.
ReplyDeleteAwesome sequels coming out soon!
ReplyDeleteHi i'm from England and thought you might like to know that Throne of Midnight's cover is along the same lines as the Uk version of Throne of Glass. I cant wait for Throne of Midnight to come out i love the first book. I havent read Falling Kingdoms but the cover looks good i might have to add it to my must read list.
